A. The RoadSpike's 2 main advantages are: 1) Advanced Passive Deployment: the officer no longer has to wait until the very last second to either throw or pull the unit into the lane of the oncoming target. Then after spiking the target the officer does not have to hastily remove the spike unit from the road to prevent incidental spiking of any other vehicle. 2: Urban and city usage: due to lack of space and continuous flow of traffic in high motoring cities the RoadSpike main advantage is the ability to advance deploy and allow officers to be removed from the flow of traffic and not on the side of the road being visible to the suspect while waiting for the last second to throw the unit out.
